Four police officers from the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) were honored for exemplary service during the flag-raising ceremony at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City Monday morning, Sept. 22.
PCapt. Darryl Kuhutan and PSSg. Michael John Matutina of the Pontevedra Police Station received the Medalya ng Kagalingan for their anti-drug operation in July that netted a high-value target and nearly P495,000 worth of shabu.
PCapt. Jose Edrohil Cimafranca and PSSg. Julius Caesar Fausto of Sibulan Police Station were also conferred the same award for arresting the NIR’s No. 4 Most Wanted Person for rape during a manhunt in August.
PRO-NIR said the recognition of the four officers is a testament to the command’s continuing campaign against illegal drugs and criminality across Negros Island and Siquijor.*
