There will be three “stunning fireworks display areas” in Bacolod City to usher in the New Year at midnight of Dec. 31, Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said Friday.
Benitez said he is encouraging all Bacolodnons to make the transition to 2024 unforgettable and safe by gathering at the three locations.
The fireworks’ shows will be at the Bacolod City Government Center grounds, Bacolod Public Plaza and the Old Bacolod Airport.
The Department of Health 6 is urging the public to avoid using firecrackers to usher in the New Year.
The public is urged to instead use alternative noisemakers like banging on cooking pots, playing loud music, or honking, the DOH said.*
