A fire broke out at a restaurant at the north wing of SM City Bacolod at past 7 Thursday night, December 30.
The fire started at table four of Samgyeop Masarap that had a food grill and was put out at 7:29 p.m., FO2 Ronel Ivan Labansauan said.
Restaurant employee Lorijun Porinan, 34, sustained a burn on his left palm.
“An isolated fire incident happened in one of our tenants in SM City Bacolod. Our Emergency Response Team, together with the Bureau of Fire Protection, immediately contained it and has officially declared fire out,” an SM City Bacolod statement said.
“The mall remains to be in normal operations. An investigation is already ongoing,” it added.*
