The United Negros Alliance (UNegA) has already chosen its  candidate for vice  governor of Negros Occidental in the  2025 polls.

However, it is too early to announce the name of the candidate,  Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, UNegA president,  said on Tuesday, April 16.

Ferrer earlier said he is running for representative of the 4th District of Negros Occidental in 2025, as his wife, Rep. Juliet Marie Ferrer is on her third and last term.

Ferrer said an internal agreement on whom to field for vice governor has already been made. “It is final because I made the choice unless I decide to change my plans,” Ferrer said.

Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson of Love Negros has announced that he is running for a third term as governor under the coalition with UNegA.

Lacson said he is just waiting for UNegA to announce whom it will field for vice governor.*
