Commuters will be faced with fuel price increases on Christmas week.
Diesel prices are expected to increase by P1.20 to P1.40 per liter starting Tuesday, Dec. 24, Unioil Petroleum Philippines said Saturday.
Gasoline will also increase by about P0.40 to P0.60 per liter.
Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau Assistant Director Rodela Romero also estimated per liter increases for gasoline at of 0.35 to 0.70, diesel – P1.10 to P1.40 for diesel, and P0.90 to 1 for kerosene.*
