A former kagawad in Barangay Culipapa, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, was shot to death in front of his home Thursday, January 6.
Killed was 46-year-old Ulysses Mahinay.
Police said the victim was sitting on his motorcycle that was parked in front of his house when he was shot by an unidentified suspect onboard a motorcycle.
The victim succumbed to a lone gunshot wound to his head. He died on the spot.
Recovered from the crime scene was one empty shell of a .45 caliber pistol.
Police are still investigating the motive of the killing.*
