
The E. B. Magalona Municipal Health Office joined the rest of the country in marking the National Oral Health Month at the Public Plaza on Friday, February 17.
This is the second year that the E. B. Magalona MHO has observed the National Oral Health Month, a press release from the town said.
There were 29 senior citizens who availed of tooth extraction services, 40 pregnant women of oral examination and topical fluoride application, and 60 residents had random blood sugar and uric acid screenings.
One hundred Saraviahanons received dental health kits from the Provincial Health Office, and the Office of Mayor Marvin Malacon distributed food packs to the beneficiaries.
PHO dentist Dr. Camille Carmona talked about oral health care, while PHO dentist Dr. Teofil Vidamo discussed how to avoid oral cancer.
PHO dentist Dr. Stephen Uychiat and PHO medical technologist Eden Laberos also provided dental and other medical services, with the assistance of Dr. Ezeneth Alper Nadado, the DOH dentist assigned in E. B. Magalona, and MHO nurses and staff.*
