A drug surrenderer was found dead at Palanca Street, Reclamation Area, Brgy 2, Bacolod City, early Friday, August 6.
The victim was identified as Ralph Suspeñes, 24, of Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City. He was found by a rider who happened to be in the area.
The victim succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, a police report said.
Recovered from the crime scene were two empty cartridges and one live ammunition of a .45 caliber pistol.
Capt. Paul Vincent Pendon, officer-in-charge of Police Station 2, said in a press conference that they are still investigating the motive of the killing.
He said they coordinated with the Silay police and found out that the victim was arrested for drug charges in May 2018, but was released two years later, in 2020, following a plea bargaining agreement.
Pendon also said that the victim was barangay drug surrender.
He said the evidence was already sent to the crime laboratory for further investigation, and that the cadaver will be subjected to an autopsy.*
