
The number of dead in the Negros Island Region from Typhoon “Tino” increased during the weekend with more casualties found in Canlaon City.
Canlaon City in Negros Oriental reported that its dead increased to 19 with 7 missing on Saturday, Nov. 8.
In Negros Occidental, revised figures from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council on Sunday placed the death toll at 52 with 54 missing.
Bago City has 6 dead, La Castellana – 10, Murcia – 2, San Carlos – 5, La Carlota City – 4, Hinigaran – 8, Isabela – 1, Moises Padilla -9 , Binalbagan -6 and Himamaylan – 1.
The missing in Bago City are 5, La Castellana -18, San Carlos – 2, La Carlota City – 11, Hinigaran – 1, Isabela – 6 , and Moises Padilla – 11.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government, on the other hand, reported 55 dead in Negros Occidental and 64 missing, but said its figures were subject to verification.*
