A criminology student died after his motorcycle hit a truck in Hacienda Biarin, Brgy. Manalad, Ilog, Negros Occidental, early Friday morning, Jan. 10.
The police identified the victim as alias “Christian,” 20, and the truck driver as alias “Michael”, both residents of Brgy. Tabugon, Kabankalan City.
The victim was driving towards Kabankalan when he bumped the truck parked on the side of the road due to mechanical failure, the police reported.
An early warning device was placed behind the truck, but the victim reportedly did not see it, resulting in the accident.
The victim was brought to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The police are awaiting the decision of the victim’s family on whether they will file a case against the truck driver.*
