Cops seize more than P450K in drugs, nab 10 in Bacolod

More than P450,000 worth of drugs were seized while 10 persons were arrested in separate police buy-bust operations in Bacolod City in three days.

Nabbed at Barangay 2 on Monday night, January 18, was Arielle Discutido, a street-level individual, while her companion, Romulo Hamantoc, a high-value target, escaped during a police buy-bust operation.

Recovered from Discutido were seven sachets of shabu worth P123,500 and P2,000 in marked money, Lt. Col. Ariel Pico, Bacolod City Police Office spokesperson, said.

In another buy-bust operation, 32-year-old Michael Libre of Barangay Vista Alegre was arrested on Tuesday night, January 19, at Barangay Alijis.

The suspect, who was said to be a street-level target, yielded four sachets of suspected shabu worth P40,800, and P200 in marked money.

Also arrested at Barangay 28 on January 19 were high-value target Arturo Villacuatro, 44, and brother Larry Villacuatro, 48.

Recovered from Arturo were five sachets of suspected shabu worth P36,000, while Larry was caught by the authorities sniffing shabu.

Larry also yielded an improvised firearm loaded with 9mm ammunition.

Also arrested on January 19 was 22-year-old Dhece “Matet Duadores” Rose at Barangay 2.

The female suspect yielded three sachets of suspected shabu worth P74,800, P500 in marked money and drug paraphernalia.

In another buy-bust operation today, January 20, high-value individual Ian Dionson, 40, of Barangay Mansilingan, and 36-year-old Lyn Mari Co of Barangay Singcang-Airport were collared at Barangay 12, Maj. Jovil Sedel, Police Station 1 chief, said.

The suspects yielded 10 sachets of suspected shabu worth P93,280, drug paraphernalia, and P500 in cash, he said.

In Barangay Singcang-Airport, street-level individual Ronnie Cordero, 32, and Raymund Viajedor, 30, of Barangay Vista Alegre, and Glendon Villarin, 27, of Barangay 12, were also nabbed in at a drug buy-bust operation early today.

The suspects yielded six sachets of suspected shabu worth P87,000.

All suspects are in police custody and are facing drug charges.*
