
The police arrested two persons, including a municipal employee, while implementing a search warrant at Purok 3, Barangay Magallon Cadre, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, on Saturday, Feb. 22.
Arrested were alias “Yokyok”, 44, a municipal employee, and alias “Jeany”, 43, who are both residents of Barangay Magallon Cadre, the police said.
They were arrested while the police were enforcing search warrants for violation of Republic Act No. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The police said before the search was conducted alias Jeany showed suspicious behavior.
Recovered in the search were about 3 grams of suspected shabu worth P20,400, a .357 caliber revolver, .45 caliber pistol and ammunition, the police said.
The suspects are detained at the Moises Padilla Police Station for proper disposition.
The police also arrested a farmer in Kabankalan City while implementing a search warrant for Violation of RA 10591 on Saturday.
Arrested was alias “Edrud” at Sitio Igang, Barangay Tampalon in Kabankalan.
Recovered from him was a 9mm black widow revolver, .45 caliber pistol and ammunition, the police said.
The farmer is now detained at the Kabankalan City Police Station.*
