The police arrested two individuals and seized suspected shabu worth P1 million in a buy-bust operation in a subdivision in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City, on Monday, Nov. 11.
Arrested were alias “Mariel”, 30, a high-value drug personality, and alias “Naldo”, 23, at Villa Angela Subdivision, Bacolod.
Recovered from them was shabu worth P1,020,000, the police said.
The operation was conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit and Bacolod Marietime Police Station.
PRO-6 Director BGen. Jack Wanky said he is thankful for the cooperation of the community for providing information that lead to the arrest of the suspects.
“As we pursue the remaining individuals involved in the illegal drug activity, our collaboration and partnership is being strengthened together with other law enforcement agencies,” he added.
The suspects are now under police custody and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
