The police arrested 10 suspects in five local government units in Negros Occidental and seized suspected shabu worth P436,840 in a series of buy-bust operations from Friday to Sunday, June 9 to 11.
Six buy-bust operations took place in Bacolod City from Friday to Sunday resulting in seven suspects nabbed and P299,200 in alleged shabu seized, the police reported.
The largest confiscation in the three-day operations took place in Brgy. 2, Bacolod, where the police arrested Romelo Esio, 39, and seized 18 grams of alleged shabu worth P122,400 on Friday, the report said.
Rolie Remegio, alias “Black”, 29 was also arrested in a buy-bust operation after the police seized seven grams of suspected shabu estimated at P47,600 in Brgy. Vista Alegre, Bacolod City, on Saturday.
Two more suspects were arrested and suspected shabu worth P47,600 was seized in Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City, on Friday, the police reported.
The police identified the suspects as Jazzly Doming, 23, of Brgy. Taculing, and James Marlo Molabola, 23, of Brgy. Punta Taytay.
Another four grams of shabu worth P27,200 were also seized from Mayo Villalva, 40, from Brgy. 20, Bacolod, in a buy-bust operation, the police reported.
About three grams of suspected shabu worth P20,400 was also seized from William Salon, 33, of Brgy. 16 in Bacolod City, on Saturday, the police also said.
On Sunday, five grams of suspected shabu worth P34,000 were also confiscated from Jessie Boy Rivera alias “Navarete”, 44, of Brgy. Pahanocoy, Bacolod. The suspect was apprehended in Brgy. Singcang-Airport, the police said.
Meanwhile, about P137,640 worth of shabu was confiscated in a series of buy-bust operations in the cities of Silay and Sipalay, and E.B. Magalona and Pontevedra towns on Friday and Saturday.
In Pontevedra, P68,000 worth of suspected shabu weighing 10 grams were seized by the police from Aleghere Parroco, 47, of Brgy. 1 Poblacion after a buy-bust operation on Friday.
Police operatives in Silay City also arrested Jason Parohinog, 22, who is top 1 on their priority target list, after seizing eleven sachets of suspected shabu weighing eight grams estimated at P54,400, on Saturday.
On the same day in E.B. Magalona town, P13,600 worth of suspected shabu was seized from Rambo Perez, 36, of Brgy. 3 Poblacion, the police reported.
Victor Magbanua of Brgy. 2, Sipalay City, was also arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation with .3 grams of alleged shabu estimated to cost P2,040 on Saturday, the police said.*
