A plastic bag containing two severed human feet and a note with names and a warning was dumped near a gasoline station at CL Montelibano Avenue in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, at 1 a.m. Wednesday, March 29.
The feet appeared to have been cut off a few hours before they were found as they still had some fresh blood on them, PCapt. Greeky Cayao, Police Station 4 chief, said.
They may have been cut from the ankles somewhere else between 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Cayao said.
Chopped off hands submerged in beef broth and a list of 22 persons linked to illegal drugs were also found in Purok Kagaykay, Brgy. 2, Bacolod City, on January 25. The police have yet to identify who owned the hands.
Meanwhile, Cayao withheld the contents of the note found with the feet while the police investigation is ongoing.
A DIGICAST NEGROS source said names of some businessmen linked to illegal smuggling were on the list.
The police have spoken to the persons on the list.
At 1 a.m. Wednesday a resident reported the presence of the suspicious looking plastic bag to Police Station 4, Cayao said.
A motorcycle was heard passing through about the time the bag was dumped in the area, but witnesses could not say how many were on board, Cayao said.
The police are looking for CCTV footage that may have captured the faces of those on board the motorcycle, Cayao said.
DNA samples were taken from the feet to match with the rest of the body should it surface, he added.
They could not distinguish if the feet belonged to a male or female, Cayao said.
Cayao said there have been no reports of any other body parts found in the area of Police Station 4.*
