CLMMRH: No COVID-19 admissions for now

The Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, a Department of Health-run facility in Bacolod City, announced Saturday, September 25, that it cannot accommodate COVID-19 hit patients anymore as it has reached its full bed capacity.

“The Hospital Management would like to inform the public that CLMMRH will temporarily suspend its COVID-19 admissions except for ‘extreme emergency cases’ until further notice or once beds have become readily available,” it said.

It stressed that the surge of COVID-19 cases that the community is facing right now is different from the previous two waves of cases.

“Despite the efforts of the hospital to fast track the patient movement from the emergency room, COVID-19 wards, and discharge them to a step-down facility, the number of new COVID suspect patients coming to the emergency room has been drastically increasing,” CLMMRH said.

“The situation has resulted in a point where our emergency room and hospital COVID-19 wards have reached its full bed capacity”, it added

Currently, the bed occupancy rate at the emergency room of CLMMRH has reached 110 percent, and the available COVID-19 beds are dedicated to newborn neonates.

For patient transfers from local government units and other referring hospitals, the hospital management strongly advises to call its COVID-19 hotline at (034) 703-1350, 0917-1007093 or 701-7865.*
