Cebu Landmasters Inc. broke ground for the construction of the P1.8 billion Casa Mira Towers in Bacolod City on Wednesday, March 30, bringing the firm’s total investments in the city to P8 billion, Jose Franco Soberano, CLI executive vice president and chief operating officer, said.
Soberano said since CLI came to Bacolod in 2017 it has launched five projects.
The P1.8 billion four-tower residential complex is part of a master planned CLI complex along Lacson Street in Barangay Bata where a branded hotel, commercial complex and another three-tower residential condominium are located.
They are also building 1,000 houses in Barangay Granada, Bacolod, he said.
Soberano said the first of the four Casa Mira Towers in Bacolod opened for selling last month and is now 80 percent sold.
The initial 73 percent sold generated a sales value of P 630 million for 276 units, a CLI press statement said.
This is a testament of a robust demand for housing and Bacolod market’s strong acceptance of the project, Soberano said.
“Recovery is here, recovery is on the way” after the COVID-19 pandemic, he said.
CLI’s newest residential project in Bacolod City that offers 1,429 studio and one-bedroom units with areas of 20-22 sqm and 27.75-29.75 sqm, respectively, is set for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.
As much as 40 percent of the project’s 1.12 hectare footprint is devoted to open space allowing residents a more serene in-city living experience. Its in-house amenities will include a fitness gym, clubhouse, prayer room, viewing deck, play area, an adult and kiddie pool, and ground floor retail spaces.
Jose Soberano III, CLI chairman, president and chief executive officer, said they are happy to be part of the success created by Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia in Bacolod.
“Since the time that we started with our first project here, Mayor Bing was already at the helm so we can say that we grew together,” he said.
They are also eyeing a major township development in Bacolod, he said in an interview.
Leonardia said he is elated over high investor confidence in Bacolod.
The mayor said the city government is committed to help businesses and investments grow in Bacolod.
The new development project of CLI augurs well with the city’s economic recovery program, he said, and is a sign that Bacolod is back on track following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The CLI groundbreaking in Bacolod is a new dawn for Bacolod, Leonardia said.*
