An alumna of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University ranked 7th in the September Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) – Elementary Level, the Professional Regulation Commission announced on Friday, Dec. 13.

Patricia Mae Maglaque, a resident of Brgy. Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, garnered a 92.80 percent rating and was ranked 7th out of the 20,025 elementary teachers who passed the LET.

CHMSU, in a press release, said Maglaque is one of the 251 newly licensed teachers from the first-time examinees from the CHMSU Alijis, Binalbagan, and Talisay (Main) campuses – 75 in the Elementary Level and 176 in the Secondary Level.

She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor in Special Needs Education at the CHMSU Talisay Campus earlier this year.

CHMSU also ranked 6th among the top-performing schools at the Elementary Level with at least a 90 percent passing rate.

College of Education Dean Ophelia Duayan congratulated the passers and challenged them to use their license to become teachers who nurture students.

“This ranking of CHMSU in the top-performing schools shows our commitment to providing quality education,” Duayan added.*
