Capitol turns over P12.8M support to NegOcc DepEd

Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson turned over checks worth P12,808,000 to the DepEd – Division of Negros Occidental headed by Schools Division Superintendent, Marsette Sabbaluca, at the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City on Thursday, May 19.

Of the amount P300,000 is for the secondary school student athletes who will participate in the Provincial Qualifying Sports Competition; P3,080,000 for the Literacy Development, Alternative Learning System (ALS) and SPED Literacy teachers; P4,428,000 for the operation, salaries and wages of non-teaching personnel and scholars of the Negros Occidental Science High School; and P5M for the various projects of the Negros Occidental High School, a press release from the Capitol said.

The checks were turned over in the presence of Caren Moscoso, ALS Education Program Specialist, Milagros Abanales, Assistant Principal of NOHS, Rebonie Emboltorio, Senior Education Program Specialist, and Emma Dequito, Negros Occ. Science High School principal.*
