The provincial government has filed a complaint against two “fake” Negros Occidental Facebook accounts, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Monday, February 28.
The accounts that use the Negros Occidental seal and pictures of the Capitol as their cover photos are not owned or connected to the provincial government, he said.
One account uses the old Negros Occidental provincial government seal and identifies its page as a “media/news company” that features news stories.
Diaz said they have asked Facebook to block the fake accounts purporting to be that of the province of Negros Occidental.
They are also warning the public not to be misled, he added.*
