A farmer was found dead after he drowned in Sitio Agning, Brgy. Cruz, Calatrava, Negros Occidental, on Saturday, Sept. 28.
The police said the 50-year-old farmer from Brgy Cruz may have drowned after suffering from an epileptic seizure.
The brother-in-law of the victim found him in a secluded well in the area.
The victim, whose name was withheld by the police, was brought to the Calatrava Municipal Hospital but was declared dead due to asphyxia secondary to drowning.
His wife refused to have an autopsy conducted.*
