Bacolod Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, who turns 59 on Saturday, said his birthday wish is for more programs to alleviate the lives of the Filipino people and Bacolodnons.
Bacolod City and Negros Occidental 3rd District officials joined an advance birthday party for Benitez in Bacolod City Thursday evening, where they reiterated their continued support for him.
Benitez said the priority programs he is pushing for in Congress are geared towards alleviating lives. He also wishes for the continued economic growth of Bacolod, noting that the city has had the highest growth rate in the country.
Bacolod Mayor Greg Gasataya expressed his wish that someday Benitez will represent the city on a national level. He also wished that all the dreams and hopes Benitez has for Bacolod and the country will come true.
“It is also our wish and prayer that the Lord will continue to bring you good health and guide you and give you wisdom as you make decisions, not just for Bacolod but the entire country,” Gasataya said.
Benitez was born on Dec. 20, 1966.*
