Bacolod Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said he met with officials of the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) to discuss his proposed Anti-Corruption and Forfeiture Commission Act of 2025.

“This measure aims to institutionalize a permanent and independent commission that will recover ill-gotten assets,” Benitez said in a Facebook post on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

“It will also strengthen safeguards against corruption, and advance transparency in government, reflecting our commitment to fostering integrity and accountability in public service,” he added.

Benitez said he met with PCGG officials led by its chairperson retired Justice Melchor Quirino Sadang, commissioners Raymond Dilag, Angelito Vergel de Dios, Elihu Ybanez and Marco Bautista, and lawyers Clarence de Guzman, and Angel Peliglorio III.*
