Bacolod Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said he met with Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) officials to discuss critical issues facing the institution, including PhilHealth coverage, hospital operations, and ongoing renovations.
Benitez, in a Facebook post on Thursday, Aug. 7, said a primary focus of the discussion was the need for a more robust implementation of the “zero-bill” policy, which aims to ensure that eligible patients are not charged for medical services.
He committed to working with hospital management to find a more efficient PhilHealth system to meet the needs of CLMMRH, Benitez said.
“I sat down with the officials of Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital to tackle pressing concerns on PhilHealth coverage, hospital operations, and their ongoing renovation,” Benitez said.
“I raised the need for stronger implementation of the zero-bill policy and committed to finding a more efficient PhilHealth system that works better for CLMMRH”, he added
“Public health services must remain accessible, sustainable, and truly responsive to the needs of our people”, Benitez also said.*
