BCPO seizes nearly P12M in shabu in weeklong anti-drug operations

The Bacolod City Police Office seized nearly P12 million worth of suspected shabu during a series of anti-illegal drug operations conducted from Jan. 12 to 18.

The BCPO carried out nine anti-drug operations that led to the arrest of 16 individuals.

Authorities recovered an estimated 1,759.8 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P11,964,640.

Police said the operations were part of sustained intelligence-driven efforts to dismantle drug distribution networks operating within the city.

During the same period, BCPO also arrested four most wanted persons and 10 other wanted persons in separate manhunt operations.

Four anti-illegal gambling operations were conducted, resulting in the arrest of 10 individuals and the confiscation of P1,176 in bet money.

As part of the campaign against loose firearms, the police recorded the surrender or deposit of five firearms and the recovery of one explosive.*
