City government-run Bago City College has produced its first-ever Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) topnotcher.
Donabelle Tubal Fernandez, a Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Social Studies graduate and a resident of Barangay Taloc, Bacolod City, placed 10th in the September 2023 Licensed Professional Teacher Examination with a rating of 92.80 percent.
Her twin sister, Donnajean, also passed the board exam. In college, they graduated Magna Cum Laude and Cum Laude, respectively.
“I appreciate everyone who sent me congratulations. How I wish I could respond to all of you,” Fernandez said in a Facebook post.
She added that her review started at 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. or midnight and experienced a lot of anxiety but through prayers, her wish was granted.
“I used to think of it as just a dream, but who would have imagined that I would come to realize it,” she said.
The Bago City College Teacher Education Department, in a Facebook post, lauded Fernandez for serving as an inspiration for others and for exemplifying hard work toward success.
BCC also said that her outstanding achievement in the Licensed Professional Teacher Examination is not just a testament to her remarkable academic preparation and unwavering determination but also a beacon of inspiration for fellow Education graduates and aspiring test-takers.*
