Bacolod police seize shabu worth P2.1M

The Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) arrested two high-value drug targets and confiscated suspected shabu worth P2.1 million in Purok Kapalaran, Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City, Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Rachell Sampayan, 23, and Echero Baldelovar, 24, were arrested in a buy-but operation at about 11:45 p.m.

The arrest was led by CDEU and Police Station 3 personnel who seized 315 grams of suspected shabu valued at P2,142,000, cash, and a sling bag.

Charges for  violation of Republic  Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects, who are now under police custody.

BCPO Acting Director Col. Joeresty Coronica commended the operating units and personnel for their relentless efforts in the campaign against illegal drugs.

He also reiterated the BCPO’s commitment to intensifying its anti-criminality initiatives, vowing to ensure a safe and peaceful Bacolod City.*
