Bacolod police seize shabu worth P4.9M

The Bacolod City police seized about P4.9 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested 138 individuals in one month of anti-criminality operations.

Records show that from July 23 to Aug. 22, in the first month of Col. Joeresty Coronica’s heading the BCPO, they conducted 27 anti-illegal drug operations that resulted in the confiscation of 724.06 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street drug price of P4,923,608.

This also resulted in the arrest of 31 persons, who are now facing cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

The BCPO also conducted 42 anti-criminality operations which resulted to the arrest of four most wanted and 38 other wanted persons charged with various offenses.

The   BCPO also conducted five police operations that  resulted in the confiscation of five firearms and the arrest of five individuals, and 21 anti-illegal gambling operations that resulted in the apprehension of  60 persons.*
