The Bacolod City Police Office seized suspected shabu worth P4.7 million and arrested four individuals, including an alleged sub-group leader of a drug group, in a series of buy-bust operations Wednesday and Thursday, December 11 to 12.
Alias “Faisal”, 24, tagged as a high-value drug personality and resident of Brgy. 31 was arrested in Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolod, on Thursday, the police said.
The suspect is an alleged sub-group leader of the Caunda Drug Group, which operates in Bacolod and Negros Occidental, the police added.
The operation, led by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), resulted to the confiscation of 675 grams of suspected shabu valued at P4,590,000.
Lt. Antonio Benitez Jr., CDEU chief, said that the suspect acts as a distributor of illegal drugs in Negros Occidental.
Meanwhile, alias “Jason”, was apprehended by the operatives of Bacolod Police Station 10 in Totong 3, Brgy. Felisa, Wednesday.
The suspect was classified as street level drug personality and the police seized a gram of shabu valued at P6,800 from him.
Alias “Elena”, 52, was also arrested by the operatives of Police Station 7 in an operation in Purok Arao II, Brgy. Vista Alegre, at about 7:06 p.m. on the same day.
The police seized from her seven grams of suspected shabu worth P56,000.
Another operation led to the arrest of alias “Johnny”, 38, in Purok Langis, Brgy. Banago, at about 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The operatives from Police Station 3 seized from him 6.8 grams of suspected shabu worth P46,200.
The suspects are now under the custody of the police and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
