Bacolod hits twin records during NVD3, 5-11 roll-out

Bacolod City registered a new record after topping the third leg of the National Vaccination Drive (NVD) in Western Visayas with the highest number of vaccinees percentage wise.

Bacolod City’s target for the NVD III was 34,265 and it vaccinated 22,949 or 66.98 percent of its target.

Negros Occidental, on the other hand, vaccinated the most number of individuals but came in third in terms of NVD3 target percentage hit.

The province’s target was 129,671 and it vaccinated 56,200 or 43.34 percent.

Meanwhile, Bacolod also jabbed the most number of minors at 539 on Day One of the 5-11 vaccination roll out on February 14, Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy director of the Emergency Operations Center-Task Force said Thursday, February 17.

Dr. Edwin Miraflor, Jr., officer-in-charge of the City Health Office, said the EOC-TF and the local COVID-19 Vaccination Council, achieved a 66.98 percent accomplishment rate by inoculating 22, 949 Bacolodnons during the period starting February 9 until February 15.

The figure, he added, brings the team closer to the 34, 265 target set by the Department of Health VI.

Capiz hit 54.70 percent of its target , Iloilo Province – 37.43 percent, Aklan – 33.62 percent, Antique – 31.61 percent, Guimaras – 28.69 percent and Iloilo City – 20.09 percent.*
