
An 18-year-old student classified as a high-value individual was arrested in a buy-bust operation that yielded P1.08 million worth of suspected shabu in Bacolod City on Wednesday, June 10.
Police identified the suspect as alias “Bords,” 18, single, unemployed, and a resident of Purok Gonzaga, Brgy. Taculing.
The operation was conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office in Purok Gonzaga.
Police said the suspect is a Grade 12 student who was allegedly engaged in illegal drug activities in Brgy. Taculing and nearby areas.
The operation was conducted after police received information from a confidential informant and validated the report through casing and surveillance.
Police said the suspect allegedly sourced illegal drugs from an unidentified person on board a motorcycle.
During the buy-bust, the suspect allegedly sold suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer, leading to his arrest.
Recovered from him were four heat-sealed plastic sachets and three knot-tied plastic bags containing suspected shabu weighing about 160 grams.
The seized drugs have an estimated standard drug price of P1,088,000.
Police also recovered the P1,000 buy-bust money and other non-drug items.
The suspect is detained at Police Station 6 for documentation and legal processing.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, are being prepared against him.*
