The 2023 first quarter business tax collection of Bacolod City has nearly exceeded the total collection of the city for 2019, Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said on Monday, April 17.
The first three-months collection for 2023 has reached P603,126,590 compared to P657,912,576.49 for the entire 2019, the License Division of the Office of the City Treasurer reported.
The collection in 2020 was P646.3 million, 2021 – P616.3 million, 2022 – P713.2 million, it also reported.
Benitez appealed to delinquent tax payers not to wait to be reached by the city government.
The city government is stepping up its collections as increased revenues will mean better and additional services for Bacolod residents, he said.*
