The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)–Bacolod City is reminding the public to observe fire safety and exercise caution during All Saints’ Day on November 1 and All Souls’ Day on November 2.
BFP Bacolod fire personnel will be deployed across key areas under Oplan Kaluluwa 2025.
City Fire Marshal FSupt Jenny Mae C. Masip and Deputy City Fire Marshal FInsp. Jemarie G. Tapiru said the BFP has mobilized teams to ensure readiness in case of emergencies and to help maintain a peaceful and safe observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.
Fire officers will be stationed from October 30 to November 2, in major cemeteries such as Bacolod Memorial Park, Rolling Hills Memorial Garden, Palm Haven, Roselawn Cemetery, Valley of Peace, Forest Lake (Sum-ag and Alijis), and other public cemeteries across Bacolod.
BFP personnel will also be present at transport hubs, including the BREDCO Port, Banago Port, and Ceres and Libertad terminals to assist travelers and monitor safety conditions.
The BFP said cemetery visitors should avoid bringing candles or lighters near flammable materials, refrain from burning trash within cemetery premises, and ensure that lit candles are properly extinguished before leaving.
Visitors are also urged to cooperate with fire personnel and follow safety advisories.
For emergencies, the public may contact the Bacolod City Fire Station at (034) 434-5022 or 0921-341-7002.*
