One person was killed and two persons were injured when an ambulance and two other vehicles figured in an accident at the Matab-ang Access Road intersection in Bgry. Concepcion, Talisay City, 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 20.
The Barangay Concepcion ambulance carrying a male motorcycle accident victim was headed for the Talisay City Health Office when the mishap happened, Spyke Gutierrez, Talisay City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office head, said.
The ambulance was halfway across the road when an Innova coming from the Bacolod Silay Airport hit its rear, he said.
The impact caused the ambulance to spin and hit a motorcycle waiting to cross the intersection causing the death of the male driver and the injury of the female passenger.
The motorcycle passenger and the ambulance passenger who sustained minor bruises were brought to the Talisay City Health Office and later to a hospital, he added.
