House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III has pledged his full support for the Visayan Bloc, Bacolod Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
Benitez, the lead convenor of the Visayan Bloc, said he was joined by fellow representatives from the Visayas for a courtesy meeting with Dy last week.
The Visayan Bloc looks forward to working closely with Dy to advance development across the region, Benitez said.
Benitez earlier said that the Visayan Bloc members plan to collectively lobby for increased resources for the Visayas.
The bloc has more than 40 members out of a total of over 50 representatives from the Visayas, he said.*
