The Department of Finance has designated an acting provincial treasurer for Negros Occidental who will assume office on December 2, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said today, November 27.
Amy Grace Bolivar, city treasurer of San Carlos City, was named acting treasurer for one year, in place of Provincial Treasurer Nilda Generoso whose mandatory retirement takes effect December 1.
Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Lacson has asked the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to designate Bolivar as authorized signatory of depository accounts of the provincial government effective December 2.
The SP is expected to act on the governor’s request during its regular session on Tuesday, December 2, Diaz said.*
