A total of 9,356 Negrenses were inoculated with Pfizer and Sinovac vaccines this week, Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Friday, July 2.

Negros Occidental received 11,700 doses of Pfizer vaccines on June 17, of which 5,850 are being reserved for second jabs, Diaz said.
There were 4,579 Negrenses from various parts of Negros Occidental who were vaccinated at the Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City and the Negros Residences in Bacolod City this week.
The remaining 1,271 Pfizer first dose vaccines will be administered at the Negros Residences on Monday, Diaz said.
Meanwhile, 4,777 Negrenses were inoculated with Sinovac vaccines on Thursday and Friday.
The province received 34,800 additional Sinovac doses on June 28.
TOP PERFORMERS
Of the 3,816 doses of Sinovac vaccines dispersed to 18 local government units Friday, 3,266 or 85.59 percent were administered, Diaz said.
The LGUs with 100 percent ratings for fully administering the vaccines sent to them were Escalante City, Talisay City, Silay City, EB Magalona, Victorias City, La Carlota City, Pontevedra, Isabela, Kabankalan City and Sipalay City.

Bago City had a 91 percent performance, Ilog – 85 percent Toboso – 67 percent, Calatrava – 64 percent, Salvador Benedicto – 46 percent, Moises Padilla – 35 percent, Binalbagan – 32 percent and Manapla -15 percent.
IN BACOLOD
Meanwhile, Bacolod City has administered 53,466 first doses and 11,047 second doses from March 5 to June 30, with mass vaccinations ongoing.
Mass vaccination at Robinsons Place Bacolod City is set on Saturday, July 3.
COVID CASES
Bacolod City had six new deaths, and 137 new COVID-19 cases on Friday for a total 1,866 active cases, the Department of Health reported.
Negros Occidental had one new death and 88 new COVID-19 cases on Friday for a total of 1,820 active cases, the DOH added.*
