Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson personally distributed the P100,000 cash assistance to the eight Negrense Centenarians in the cities of Escalante, Sagay, and Cadiz and the municipalities of Manapla and E.B. Magalona, Friday, November 20.
The centenarians were Adoracion Monido, Josefina Gonzaga, Encarnacion Alegado, Juan Diesma, Lilia Deocampo, Rosario Guintalaga-an, Marcela Lucareza, and Nieves Concerman.
They were also given a Certificates of Centenarian Award.
Also present in the distribution were Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office OIC Merle Garcia and staff.
Second District Rep. Leo Rafael Cueva, Mayors Salvador Escalante, Jr. of Cadiz City, Thirdy Marañon of Sagay City, Melecio Yap, Jr. of Escalante City, and Vice Mayors Eric Matulac of EB Magalona and Johnny Gabriel of Escalante City, welcomed the governor and witnessed the distribution in their respective LGUs.*
