Police seized about 840 grams of suspected shabu worth P5.712 million and arrested four individuals in three buy-bust operations in Bacolod City from Friday evening, July 24, to early Saturday, July 25.
The Bacolod City Police Office said two of those arrested were classified as high-value individuals by the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council.
In the first operation, City Drug Enforcement Unit personnel arrested a 64-year-old woman identified only as alias “Bebe” in Purok Kagaykay, Brgy. 2 at around 7:04 p.m. Friday.
Police recovered about 35 grams of suspected shabu worth P238,000, buy-bust money and other evidence.
At around 7:48 p.m., Police Station 7 operatives arrested alias “Kim,” 35, during another buy-bust operation in Brgy. Mansilingan.
Authorities seized about five grams of suspected shabu valued at P34,000, buy-bust money and cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug transactions.
The largest seizure was recorded at around 2:43 a.m. Saturday in Purok Mabinuligon, Brgy. 35.
Police Station 1 operatives arrested alias “Gard,” 44, and alias “Ana,” 35, who were both classified as high-value individuals.
About 800 grams of suspected shabu worth P5.44 million were recovered from the two suspects, along with buy-bust money, a motorcycle with a sidecar and other items.
The confiscated substances will be submitted for laboratory examination.
The four suspects face charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
