3rd District mayors, others joining president’s PFP

South Cotabato Gov.      Reynaldo Tamayo Jr., PFP president,  will  be the inducting officer.*

Several mayors of Negros Occidental, the majority of whom are from the 3rd District, are taking their oaths as members of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, Victorias Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez said on Sunday, August 25.

The oath taking of about 150 to 200 new PFP members from the Negros Island Region will be held at L’Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City at 1 p.m. Monday, August 26, Negros Occidental Board Member Anthony Dennis Occeño, PFP provincial chairman, said on Friday.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is the PFP national chairman.

Benitez, Negros Association of Chief Executives president, said he is joining the PFP along with the bulk of the officials of the 3rd District.

The other mayors of 3rd District joining the PFP are Neil Lizares of Talisay City, Marvin Malacon of EB Magalona and Victor Gerardo Rojas of Murcia, and Silay City mayoral candidate Mark Golez and his runningmate Ryan Gamboa, Benitez said.

Other mayors joining are Jose Nadie Arceo of Hinigaran and Daph Reliquias of Hinoba-an, he added.

Also joining the PFP are vice mayors and councilors, Benitez said.

South Cotabato Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo Jr., PFP president, will be the inducting officer.

Messages of support will be delivered by Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Director General Francisco Benitez and the Victorias mayor, the event’s program states.

Lacson is a member of the Nationalist People’s Coalition, while Francisco Benitez is with PFP.*
