3 more police stations in Bacolod sought

The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is asking the city government to put up three more police stations to boost their peace and order campaign, Col. Joeresty Coronica said on Monday, Nov. 4.

The BCPO director said that they are asking Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez to put up the additional police stations in barangays Vista Alegre, Banago, and Estefania.

He also said that apart from additional personnel, BCPO is also asking for more patrol cars and other needs for the planned stations.

During their meeting with the mayor, Coronica also discussed the plans to transfer the Police Station 3 in a township that is under construction in Brgy. Mandalagan.

They also discussed the proposed installation of more CCTV cameras in various public places and requiring commercial establishments to install their own.*
