
Three vendors were arrested for selling cigarettes without the required graphic health warnings in Brgy. 5, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday morning, Jan. 13.
The suspects were identified as three male vendors, aged 29, 26, and 23, of Brgy. 9, Isabela town, the police reported.
The Moises Padilla police said the suspects were apprehended while selling and displaying cigarette products without the mandated health warning labels.
Authorities said the operation was conducted in coordination with municipal licensing and Department of Health representatives.
The confiscated cigarettes were valued at around P4,000, the police said.
The suspects will face charges for violation of Section 6 of Republic Act No. 10643 or the Graphic Health Warnings on Tobacco Products Act of 2014.*
