The fatalities were Angela Pineda, 58, and Mary Joy Soberano, 35, the Bureau of Fire Protection- Victorias reported.

Fire Officer 1 Jon Jeff Basa said Soberano was trapped inside the comfort room of her home when the blaze erupted at past midnight.

Meanwhile, Pineda reportedly suffered a heart attack after believing that her house was also on fire.

“When we arrived, Pineda had already collapsed, but her house was not affected by the incident,” Basa said.
