Two Negrenses were stabbed dead in separate incidents in Cadiz City and Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, on Sunday, Dec. 31.
A 41-year-old laborer died after he was stabbed several times in Hacienda Chrisjun, Brgy. Jerusalem, Cadiz City, at about 10:30 p.m., Sunday, the police reported.
The suspect and the victim, whose names were withheld by the police, were both intoxicated and had a misunderstanding, investigation showed.
The victim’s live-in partner pacified him when the suspect suddenly stabbed him several times.
The victim was brought to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic but was declared dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, a 46-year-old farmer was also stabbed dead in Brgy. Damutan, Hinoba-an town, Sunday night.
The victim and his live-in partner were cooking in their kitchen when the suspect, who was intoxicated, arrived and suddenly stabbed the victim in his abdomen, the police said.
The police are searching for the suspects in both cases.*
