Two Negrenses died in stabbing and shooting incidents in the cities of Cadiz and San Carlos in Negros Occidental on Monday, January 29.
An 18-year-old man, whose name was withheld by the police, died after four unidentified suspects mauled and stabbed him in the chest at the Public Market of Brgy. Zone 3, Cadiz City, at about 5 a.m. Monday.
The victim was a resident of Bangga Maningoy, Brgy. Tinampa-an in Cadiz City.
Meanwhile, a 43-year-old man died after he was shot by an unidentified suspect in Purok Kamagong, Brgy. 1, San Carlos City, at about 9 p.m.
The victim was sitting inside his house when the suspect entered and shot him several times, the police said.
The suspects in both cases escaped.*
