Two motorcycle drivers died in accidents in Hinoba-an and La Carlota City on Sunday, February 26.
Jose Normo Lecera, 43, died in Purok Gumamela, Barangay Talacagay, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, 4:05 a.m. Sunday.
Lecera, onboard his Kawasaki Rouser 135, was travelling from Barangay Nabulao, Sipalay City, to Barangay Talacagay, when he accidentally bumped a steel barrier causing him to sustain injuries on various part of his body, the police reported Monday.
He was rushed to the Eleuterio T. Decena Memorial Hospital in Hinoba-an but was declared dead on arrival.
Ian Romel Villanueva Alojado, 45, died along the highway at Hda. Alegria, Brgy. Haguimit, La Carlota City, 6:43 a.m. on Sunday, the police also reported.
He lost control of his Delta 125cc motorcycle and fell on the cemented road causing him to sustain a head injury, the police said.
He was pronounced dead at the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital in La Carlota.*
