Two friends were arrested after the police seized suspected liquid marijuana and high-grade marijuana kush in a buy-bust operation in Bacolod City on Monday night, May 11.
The operation was conducted by Police Station 7 personnel in Purok Busay, Brgy. Vista Alegre.
PCapt. Jay-R Reyes, Police Station 7 chief, said the target of the operation was alias “Toto,” an assistant cook at a restaurant.
Authorities recovered from alias “Toto” five packs of suspected high-grade marijuana kush valued at P32,500.
His companion, alias “Jiyo,” was also allegedly found in possession of 2 milliliters of suspected liquid marijuana placed inside a canister similar to those used for vape products.
Police estimated the value of the suspected liquid marijuana at P10,000.
Reyes said the two were riding on a motorcycle when they went to a dimly lit area of Purok Busay, where the transaction took place.
The suspects are now under police custody and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
