A 17-year-old girl who tried to stop a fight ended up in a hospital after she was shot in Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City, Monday, December 27.
The girl, whose name was withheld by the police, tried to put a stop to a heated argument between her uncle and his neighbor, identified as Marvin Viso, but it escalated very quickly when the suspect pulled out an improvised shotgun and fired at them and hitting the minor.
The suspect immediately fled from the scene on board his tricycle, while the victim is now in stable condition.
Recovered from the scene was an empty shell of a 12-gauge shotgun.
The suspect will be charged with frustrated homicide.*
