The Miss Bacolod MassKara 2024 sashing ceremony and selection of the “Darling of the Press” will be held at SM City Bacolod 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, the Bacolod Yuhum Foundation (BYF) announced on Monday.
All 15 candidates will be officially presented and sashed, marking the beginning of their journey towards the pageant’s coronation night on Oct. 19, a press release from BYF said.
During Sunday’s event members of the press will also take part in a question-and-answer session with the candidates where they will discuss their advocacies.
The media will then evaluate each candidate’s ability to communicate effectively, connect with the public and embody the values of Bacolod City and the MassKara Festival, the press release said.
Following the Q and A the members of press will then cast their votes to decide who will be awarded the “Darling of the Press” title.
“With strong contenders for this year’s title, the Miss Bacolod MassKara pageant stands as one of the most anticipated highlights of the world-famous festival. The pageant aims to secure a prominent national crown,” the press release said.
The pageant celebrates not only the beauty and intellect of Bacolod’s young women, but also their dedication to social causes and community leadership, it added.*
