The City Health Office reported on Tuesday, Oct. 29, one new dengue death in Bacolod City bringing the total to five this year.
CHO records also showed that as of Oct. 12 there were 1,987 dengue cases or an increase by 312.2 percent in Bacolod this year.
There were 482 dengue cases with three deaths in Bacolod last year.
Brgy. Taculing had the most number of dengue cases with 234, followed by Bata with 166, Estefania – 154, Mansilingan – 152, Villamonte – 130, Mandalagan – 103, Tangub – 99, Alijis – 97, Sum-ag – 87, Singcang-Airport – 81, Cabug and Banago – 77 each, and Granada – 76 cases.*
